Event Details: Everyone is being asked to ‘step up to clean up’ for Clean Up Australia Day Sunday 7th March 2021.
The nationwide event was founded by the late Ian Kiernan in 1990 and has become a popular annual event across Australia.
This year, Goulburn Mulwaree Council is helping people clean up public areas by providing disposal for waste collected during local Clean Up Australia Day activities. Any group or organisation wanting to organise a clean-up at their hall, park or community space can either register as an official event with Clean Up Australia Day or contact Council on (02) 4823 4417 to let us know in advance that you will have waste to dispose of.
The waste will be collected at Victoria Park near the exercise equipment from 9am to 11am.
Anyone wanting to help by cleaning up around Victoria Park can also join in. It is preferred if people can use their own gloves and bags, however a small number of these will be available for use.
