COVID-19 Check-In Cards for People Without Smartphones

share

We hear each day about the number of COVID-19 cases going up and about how hard it is for contact tracers to retrace the steps of people who have caught this dreadful virus. To help speed up contact tracing, the NSW Government has launched COVID-19 check-in cards for individuals who do not have Smartphones.

Each card is a hard-copy (printed) card with a unique QR code that contains your registered contact details.

These cards mean that you can scan your card on the scanner sign before you enter a COVID safe business, or when you enter the premises a staff member can scan your card and your visit to the premises is electronically recorded, saving you from having to handwrite your details into a register.

If the business device is unable to read your QR code, the staff member will enter your details manually into the online webform.

Once you’ve created your card you can have it posted to you or download a printable version immediately.

If you lose the card, or your contact details change, you simply create a new card.

You can create your card yourself, or ask a relative to help you, by going to this site: https://www.service.nsw.gov.au/transaction/create-covid-19-check-card
