Last week it was announced that the Multicultural NSW Stronger Together Grants program is offering a total of $250,000 for multicultural community organisations to provide immediate relief in response to the current COVID-19 restrictions.

The Minister for Multiculturalism Natalie Ward explained that up to 50 grants of up to $5,000 for grassroots multicultural community projects were available in NSW.

“We know the pandemic and COVID-19 restrictions continue to present challenges for our community, with many people continuing to face hardship,” Mrs Ward said.

“These grants will provide immediate relief to support our multicultural community organisations who know the needs of our communities best and how to respond to them.”

Funded projects could support the provision of emergency food relief and grassroots initiatives responding to social isolation.

Grant applications are now open and can be submitted until 5pm Thursday 15 July 2021. For more information see: https://multicultural.nsw.gov.au/
