The NSW Wine Industry Association has reminded winery owners that effective 6pm on Saturday 26 June until 11.59pm on Friday, 9 July 2021, a series of new restrictions have come into place that will affect the wine industry, particularly the operators of cellar doors and tourism facilities.

In summary, the restrictions for Regional NSW are:

  • Visitors from Greater Sydney (who were in Sydney from 21 June onwards) are required to follow the stay-at-home orders for a period of 14 days after they left Greater Sydney. They should not be visiting your venues.
  • All hospitality must be seated.
  • Masks are compulsory in all indoor non-residential settings, including workplaces, and at organised outdoor events (includes staff and visitors).
  • Outdoor seated, ticketed events will be limited to 50 per cent seated capacity.
  • One person per 4 square meter rule has been re-introduced.
  • NSW QR codes are essential (as per current).
