Goulburn Mulwaree Library will be celebrating Library Lovers’ Day from 8 February to 14 February 2021.
Every February 14th peoples around the world who love their Library celebrate Library Lovers’ Day! In the week leading up to Library Lovers’ Day we are inviting everyone in our community to drop into the Library to grab a chocolate heart and write why they love the Library on a heart-shaped post-it note. All the Library love notes will be displayed in the Library from 8 February to 14 February, with photos to be shared on the Library’s social media pages for those who cannot come in to share their love as well.
In addition to the Library love notes and chocolates there will be an adult’s craft activity to create a Library lover silhouette light box. These light boxes incorporate LED lights, a shadow box frame, and a number of card cut-outs that come together to make a decorative piece to show off your love of reading. Places in this craft workshop are extremely limited, so early booking is recommended.
Library Lovers can write their love notes in the Library from Monday 8 February to Sunday 14 February during Library opening hours. The silhouette box craft session will begin at 2:30pm on Sunday 14 February 2021. The session is free, but bookings are essential and can be made online at https://www.trybooking.com/BNKMC, in person at the Library, or by calling on (02) 4823 4435.
