Tell us a little about yourself
I’ve lived in beautiful Goulburn since the beginning of this year, having moved here from Cronulla in Sydney. I work at Radio Goulburn (Eagle FM 93.5) as an announcer.
What is your motivation for standing as a candidate for Lilac Queen?
I am a candidate for the Lilac City Festival Queen because I am concerned about the future of the Lilac City Festival: it was such a big part of our past and I wanted to be part of its continuance. In the past the money raised by the Festival funded the building of the Lilac Cinema, so it’s a significant part of our infrastructure and identity. We’ve gone through so much during the pandemic, and I want people to have confidence that we’ll get through this. The Lilac City Festival is a positive event to focus on.
Which organisations are you raising funds for, and do you have a team helping you?
I’m raising funds to support the Lilac City Festival and Relay for Life Goulburn – organisations I’m passionate about. I’m lucky to have a great team, my colleagues at Radio Goulburn.
