Law Week – Wills Workshop
What: It is thought that more than half of Australian adults don’t have a legal will. Even if you don’t have a lot of assets, having a will in place makes managing things much easier for those left behind. If you have straightforward assets and beneficiaries then you can create a will as part of this Law Week workshop. Local solicitor, Tait Keller, from RMB Lawyers will talk you through filling in a will template and getting it witnessed.
When: Thursday 20 May, 10.30am to 12.30pm. FREE event.

Law Week – Talking About Death
What: When it comes to talking about death, it can be tricky to know where to start. This event is all about taking away some of the discomfort and sharing thoughts and feelings in a respectful, confidential space. The event will begin with a discussion panel of workers in this area - including a palliative care worker, an end-of-life doula, a funeral director, a solicitor, and a bereavement counsellor. Following the discussion panel, we will host a Death Café. Death Cafés have no set agenda or questions - they are for you to discuss your thoughts and reflections on death in small groups while enjoying some refreshments and cake!
When: Thursday 20 May, 1pm to 3pm. FREE event.
